Chris Sims
Chris Sims is a Buckinghamshire based artist.
He creates images inspired by the natural landscape.
He studied printmaking at Wolverhampton University in the early 80’s as part of his Graphic Design Degree.
Many of his pieces are produced using printmaking techniques such as collagraphs, monoprints and digital composition.
He looks at closely at the colours within nature when making his prints and then adds instinctive mark making and simple abstracted shapes to suggest and capture nature’s moods throughout the year.

I think Chris Sims art work is quite unusuall and i dont really like it because i think quite alot of his artwork looks similar to others he does. Also i dont really get what it art work is ment to be and the meaning of it.

I think Chris Sims artwork is good but unusuall aswell because he has loads of detail and gets good insperation and it could make more sense so people can understand the eaning of his work a bit better.

I think Chris Sims is unusall but I find his work boring as none of his work stands out ;there are all the same althorough he has used alot of detail he has smuged the work to make it hard to see the image in the forground and background but this my be the effect he Sims is trying to give .

I think that Chris Sims has quite boring and lifeless work. He has used good tone and smudging but i cant really tell which is the foreground and background in the image.I looked at some other pieces of art work that Chris did and they all look quite similar.
